Emanuel Leon grew up watching his parents working in the fields and dreaming of becoming an architect so he could, one day, build the perfect home for his parents.

When Rick Fawley, heard the then Palmetto High Junior speak about going to college to study architecture at a Take Stock in Children event, Rick immediately offered to mentor him.
Emanuel was guided by Rick Fawley and Mike Bryant to complete high school and later, his Bachelor's Degree at the University of South Florida.  Emanuel wrote to the pair in 2008, "Every Wednesday when I meet you for our mentoring sessions, I am welcomed with open arms and I feel at home.  Thanks to you, I am able to attend college and pursue my dreams of becoming an architect, like my mentors Mr. Fawley and Mr. Bryant."
Emanuel graduated from USF with his Master of Architecture in May 2016 and is now employed at the firm.  We celebrate the success of Emanuel Leon, and the legacy of Rick Fawley (1949-2015), a visionary leader who was committed to the community and had a passion for solving problems with architecture.
