#irmageddon

Even though Irma only came ashore as a Category 2 storm and caused (relatively) minimal damage to Manatee County, the disruption from the storm has been enormous!  Many Florida residents are still without power and Manatee County schools have been closed for over a week.

While we can't get you power or return your life to normal, we want to make sure that you have all the resources you need to effectively deal with the aftermath of the storm.  Have a look through the links and websites below and take advantage of all assistance offered!

This website has tons of links to resources such as open shelters, Assistance Programs for individuals and small businesses, Boil Water Notices and so much more.  At the very least, complete the Individual Assistance Claim from FEMA on DisasterAssistance.gov as soon as possible!

If you or someone you know needs food or water after the storm, the Food Bank of Manatee County can help!  Use the link below to find a current list of Food Pantries in Manatee County.
This is a webpage on the government's Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and provides advice to help you save money or recoup losses after the hurricane.  It is also available en Espanol.
Miami's CBS Affiliate put together an article with links to lots of information regarding assistance with your mortgage.  In many cases, you can apply for forbearance (deferred payments) for up to three months without negative impacts.  Your Mortgage Lender can provide full details.
We hope that you and your family are safe and well.  Please let us know if there is any further support you need at this stressful time.
