About Take Stock in Children

Take Stock in Children was established in 1995 as a non-profit organization in Florida that provides a unique opportunity for deserving low-income students to break the cycle of poverty through education. We offer our students college scholarships, caring volunteer mentors and hope for a better life. Our comprehensive services start in middle school, continue through high school and college completion.  Over the last year, hundreds of children have benefited from the program through the opportunity to be mentored and receive a college tuition scholarship.  Each student and their family go through an application process.  Once accepted into the program, each student complies with rigorous standards and meets with a mentor once a week.  Take Stock in Children has a 96% high school graduation and college matriculation rate for students selected for the program.
